The Xscape development in Castleford Leeds is a strongly ‘themed’ environment with all elements of outdoor life being explored via various structures: from climbing walls to high level ‘sky walks’, including a real snow ski slope with ice-themed elements.

As part of this icy theme, TensileFabric were approached to skin column claddings. The fabric was applied using a simple staple detail over a timber clad framing system. Internal lighting by fluorescent tubes provided low cost flat light, which is also low on maintenance.
